The purpose of the Institute From the Jomon period to the modern period, Funkawan(Volkano Bay)'s coastal culture research and investigation institute has been presenting the results to the citizens as the "cities handmade resource culture". Application of the dispatched information: Cultural assests are widely investigated, the research database is presented to the public,as well as sightseeing, education and various other projects. Proposals on accounts of local development and conducting the activity are also done. The cultural information that is processed all stays in one place. To aim at the practical use and application of the cities handmade resource culture. To aim for environmental and culutural harmony: Funkawan`s(Volkano Bay`s) and its surrounding land and people are connected. The former Jomon period and Ainu culture stand to have a reflorescence. ■Please use our library! History and other archeological data, general topic materials are also available Please use the Eruption Bay civilization research institutes's library! (Yuri Konno library collection) bussiness, economics, literature, film and related publications the collection is extensive. (Mineyama library collection) contains history, archeology, antiquities, fine arts and related materials. The core of the more valuable materials are kept for safekeeping. The library is located on the second floor of the insitute. Another of the institutes sites is its grounds, which can be used for picnics, hikes or trips. |
